Hosting and server logs
The website and the terminal run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you open a page, the server stores technically necessary access data in log files: IP address, time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser's identifier. The logs serve security and troubleshooting and are deleted after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Content pages without cookies or tracking
The home page, stock analyses, calculators, guides, articles and the VIX page set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising tools. The exception are the pages for free reports, see below.
Fonts and all other files come from our own server. Your browser loads the author photo from arturneumann.com, which is also our server at Hetzner.
The calculators run only in your browser. Your entries are neither transmitted nor stored.
Start for free
When you enter your email address in the “Start for free” form, we send you a confirmation link. For this we store your email address, the chosen language, the time, an encrypted identifier of the link, a hash of your IP address and your browser's identifier. The link is valid for 48 hours and can be used once. The hash and the browser identifier protect against misuse and document the sign-up.
By clicking the link you confirm your address. We then create your account, activate the 14-day trial and log you in. At the same time we add you to our own email system. There we store your email address, the language, the page and position of the form and information about where your visit came from, for example UTM parameters and ad identifiers (fbclid, gclid, campaign, ad set, ad, placement). By confirming, you agree that we may send you emails about NeumannTerminal.
The legal basis for the confirmation link, the account and the trial is the performance of pre-contractual measures and of the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For emails about NeumannTerminal it is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and for documenting the sign-up and preventing misuse it is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us.
Free reports and checklists
If you have requested or request a free report from us, we store your name, your email address, optionally your mobile number, the time, the page and information about where your visit came from, for example UTM parameters and ad identifiers, in our own email system. You first receive an email with a confirmation link (double opt-in). Only after you confirm do we send you the report and further emails about our content and offers. Delivery and open and click measurement are covered in the section “Emails”.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us. Logging the sign-up is based on our legitimate interest in documented delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Meta Pixel and Google Analytics on the report pages
Only on the report pages, the pages right after sign-up and confirmation, the reading page of the Krisenplan checklist and the page with the video on the trading indicators do we load a measurement script from our email system. It embeds the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google Analytics 4 of Google Ireland Ltd. (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and also reports page views, sign-ups and confirmations through Meta's Conversions API. This sets cookies (for example _fbp and _ga) and transmits data such as IP address, browser identifier, the page visited, the time and the event to Meta and Google. Both companies may also process data in the USA. We use this to measure and improve the success of our ads. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring the success of our advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can prevent the measurement by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Login and session cookie
The terminal works without a password. To log in, we send you a link by email. We store the link only as a hash, together with your email address, the time, a hash of your IP address and your browser's identifier. It is valid for between 15 minutes and 48 hours.
After you log in, the terminal sets a session cookie. It keeps you logged in during your session and ends when you close your browser. Login does not work without this cookie. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Using the terminal
For your account we store your email address, the time of sign-up and of your last login, where your sign-up came from and the type, start and end of your access. We also store what you create in the terminal, for example your watchlist, notes and messages sent through the feedback form.
We log which areas and features you use in the terminal and which stocks you search for or open, each with the time and your email address. We use this, for example, to show you the stocks you searched for recently, to answer support requests, to detect errors and misuse and to improve the terminal. The legal basis is the performance of the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in a working and improving service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
For certain events, such as a message through the feedback form, we receive a short internal notification through the Telegram messenger (Telegram Messenger Inc., based outside the EU). It can contain your email address and the content of your message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling such events quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Former MCP interface
Until October 10, 2026, members could connect their own AI assistant to the terminal through the MCP interface. This interface has been switched off. Logs of individual requests from that time, with email address, time, function, parameters and IP address, still exist. We delete them automatically 90 days after each request. The legal basis was Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
Embedded services in the terminal
When the terminal shows a price chart, your browser loads it from servers of TradingView, Inc. (USA). TradingView then receives your IP address and your browser's identifier. Icons and fonts are served from our own server. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working display (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Emails
We send confirmation and login links, watchlist alerts and emails about NeumannTerminal through our own email system on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Delivery is handled by Amazon Simple Email Service in the Frankfurt am Main region; the provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. Amazon SES tells us whether an email was delivered, could not be delivered or whether a recipient complained about it.
For emails about NeumannTerminal we measure whether they are opened and whether links in them are clicked. For this, every email contains a small invisible image, and links first lead through our email system. We store the time, the identifier of your email program or browser and the link clicked. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you turn off loading images in your email program, no opens are measured. After you unsubscribe, we keep your address only on a suppression list so that you receive no further emails.
Paid membership through Digistore24
You buy the paid NeumannTerminal membership through Digistore24. Your contract partner for the purchase and payment is Digistore24 GmbH, St.-Godehard-Straße 32, 31139 Hildesheim, Germany. The privacy policy of Digistore24 applies to the data you enter there. Digistore24 sends us the details we need to activate your access, in particular email address, product, order number and payment status. The legal basis is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Records of orders are kept for up to ten years under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO). If you want your account deleted, write to us at an@arturneumann.com.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
